One of the major perks of being the president of a country is getting a special screening ahead of what considers to be the favorite of most HBO series' fans for a brand new season. President Obama will certainly enjoy advanced screening of the "Game of Thrones" season 4 premiere on April 6.

The hit HBO series "Game of Thrones" is returning for a much awaited season 4 and its creators have decided to offer the US President advanced screeners, Time reports. "One perk of being the most powerful man in the world: yes, you get to see episodes early," co-creators D.B.Weiss and David Benioff mentioned through email.

DNA India reports that it has been revealed how the President made a request to the chief executive of HBO to send him advance episodes of the television series. Richard Plepler, the HBO executive was said to have been flagged down during a state dinner together with French President Francois Hollande. President Obama speculatively wants to watch the show in advance while spending the holiday weekend.

Aside from being an avid follower of the "Game of Thrones," Obama has also confessed how much he likes other shows such as "Breaking Bad" and "Homeland." There were also news that he also placed a request for advance copies of "True Detective."

With this everyone now knows that it will be the nation's president who would know first of the comeback episodes of the show that are highly anticipated by its avid fans. New York Times added that the President most today's dramas that offer a hint of reality here and there. He is even reported to spend his after work hours catching up on "Breaking Bad" with his own DVD box set. The show has long ended after airing for five seasons but the US President is still keen on not to hear spoilers from those who have already finished seeing the entire run of the show.
