Harry Styles continues to remain mum about the recipient of One Direction's song "Perfect."

In a recent interview, Hazza declined to confirm or deny that the song is about his past relationship with fellow singer Taylor Swift.

Fans were quick to dissect the meaning of "Perfect" and assumed the song, which was written by Harry and fellow One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, was about his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. Fans were reportedly especially curious about the chorus of the song. The lyrics are said to be a response to Swift's "Style" and "Out of the Woods," which are believed to be songs about Harry.

A few of the lyrics in the chorus posted in an article from the USA Today Weekend Extra reads, "If you're looking for someone to write your breakup songs about/baby I'm perfect."

Harry's reply was quite vague when asked by a reporter from the USA Today Weekend Extra to comment on speculations that "Perfect" is about Taylor. Instead, he continues to have his fans guessing over his statements.

"I don't really read it. I'm never going to tell someone what it means to them, because there's a lot of songs where I feel something completely different from what the writer intended me to feel. It's obviously funny to see, but it's up to everybody's individual interpretation," he said.

The boys (Harry and Louis) reportedly also explained that "Perfect" is simply about "not taking relationships too serious and just enjoying what you have on that night."

Harry further said that he writes his songs based on "personal experience." However, he clarified that they don't really have to be about a certain someone or "about a girl that he used to see." The One Direction heartthrob added his songs don't have to be taken literally since they could have different meanings for different people.

"Not every love song is necessarily about a person. It could be about a place or time or something where it touched you and you feel you can personify that in a song, "Harry further explained, according to the report from the USA Today Weekend Extra.

Coincidentally, Taylor had the same response when asked in an interview with GQ magazine about her song "Bad Blood." The singer was asked to reveal who the song was about. However, instead of revealing a person's name, Taylor said, "Listen to the song. It doesn't point to any one person or any one situation."
