The aftershock born of the deadly Paris bombing attack continues to be felt around the globe.

NPR reports President Barack Obama has wasted little time in labeling Friday's savage attack that has left at least 127 dead and scores more injured "an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians."

In making it clear that he views the senseless act a case of terrorism and extremism, he added, "This is an attack not just on Paris, it's an attack not just on the people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share."

Leading Democratic 2016 hopeful Hillary Clinton was not far behind in sharing her thoughts, adding in a statement, "We must stand side-by-side every step of the way with France and our allies around the world to wage and win the struggle against terrorism and violent extremism."

After expressing his sympathies and prayers, 2016 Republican poll leader Donald Trump added in a tweet: "They laughed at me when I said to bomb the ISIS controlled oil fields. Now they are not laughing and doing what I said."

With ISIS boasting of responsibility for all the carnage, French president Francois Hollande blasted the attacks as an "act of war."

All the Friday night mayhem commenced when three suicide bombs exploded in the vicinity of Stade de France Stadium, where the president was among roughly 70,000 attending the France vs. Germany soccer game.

Pope Francis later condemned the violence as a part of the "Third World War." He added, "I am close to the people of France, to the families of the victims, and I am praying for all of them. I am moved and I am saddened. I do not understand."
