Madonna performed an emotional rendition of "Like a Prayer" at her Stockholm concert on Saturday night in tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks.

The 57-year-old pop singer took a break from her regularly scheduled show to pay homage to the dead and those affected by the recent terrorist attacks, which took place on Friday evening, according to the Daily Mirror.

Before performing an acoustic version of her 1989 hit "Like a Prayer," she broke down in tears and asked for a moment of silence for all of the people who were killed in the unfortunate events and for their loved ones suffering.

"It's been really hard, actually to get through the show because in many ways, I feel, I feel torn," Madonna said during the show. "Like, why am I up here dancing and having fun when people are crying over the loss of their loved ones."

"However, that is exactly what these people want to do. They want to shut us up. They want to silence us. And we won't let them," the singer added.

Before the moment of silence, she also performed a moving rendition of Édith Piaf's classic song "La Vie En Rose."

Madonna had planned to cancel her show in light of the horrific event, but she explained her decision to go on with the show.

She said, "There's no one in the world who can stop us from doing what we love."

The singer released her last album, "Rebel Heart," on March 6. So far the album has produced the singles "Living for Love," "Ghosttown" and "B*tch I'm Madonna." She is currently on her Rebel Heart tour, which started on Sept. 9 in Montreal and will head to other stops in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, before wrapping up in Brisbane, Australia on March 27, 2016.
