Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson are set to return for the final season of "American Idol."

Ryan Seacrest has confirmed that the three original judges will be featured on the reality singing competition's last season, according to E! News.

"We will have the former judges back," Seacrest revealed to E! News' Will Marfuggi during "American Idol's" Hollywood Week. "The plan is to have all of them back. They've all considered it and I think are enthusiastic about coming back and saluting the show."

Along with the three judges from the first season of the series, former judges including Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Ellen DeGeneres, Steven Tyler and Kara DioGuardi will join current judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. for the show's last season.

Connick Jr. seemed excited to have the old judges featured on the show, especially Cowell, who he said can sit in his chair.

"He can sit there, hell yeah," Connick Jr. said. "I'll go up and sing for him and let him judge me."

Cowell will also be busy with Season 11 of "America's Got Talent," serving as a judge and executive producer for that talent show.

Urban added he is looking forward to the clash of opinions between judges who have served over past seasons.

"I'd like to see Ellen and Simon sitting very close to each other, right next to each other, showing people that chemistry," Urban said. "I think it's important for people to see that."

The final season of "American Idol" premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 6 on FOX. This will be the 15th season for the series, which began back in 2002 when Kelly Clarkson was crowned as the first winner.
