With less than 16 days until the release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," J.J Abrams has revealed that John Williams did not compose the music for a cantina scene.

During 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon, the director confessed that Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the popular musical "Hamilton," wrote the music for one the film's early sequences. Miranda, who is of Puerto Rican descent, was recently featured in Latin Post's "Changing the Game" series.

The news comes as no surprise as Williams previously did not compose the music for the sequence in Jabba's Palace in "Return of the Jedi." The composer, however is said to have scored the rest of the movie.

Additionally, Abrams is known for surprising his fans even when it is not related to the plot or story of the film. The director surprised many when Simon Pegg appeared in a featurette video and has also been very secretive about Luke Skywalker. Williams' music has also been kept a secret as the trailers have featured the composer's themes but done by another composer.

Disney has also backed Abrams' tactics as the studio has not screened the films for critics and chose not to be screened for any awards organization so the film's ending would not be ruined. The ploy is to get as many fans excited for the film and it seems to be working as the film has already made $50 million and is headed for an opening of more than $170 million, breaking the December Box Office opening weekend.

Whether or not the film will ultimately become the highest grossing film of all time is still to be seen. However, it will be the highest grossing film of the holiday season.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" starts Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. The film opens on Dec. 17.
