Mods make the "Grand Theft Auto 5" world go round, and now a new one has emerged which adds more than just the average dose of graphical enhancements.

Josh Romito has created a PC mod entitled "The Pinnacle of V." It brings audio-visual upgrades, improved relationship dynamics, practical weapon destruction and a smoother handling of cars. For those who are interested, the mod can be downloaded here.

Population levels have been raised in certain areas, depending on time and day of the week. DLC vehicles appear more naturally in traffic, same goes with pedestrians. Furthermore, every motorized transport in the game has been reworked to provide realistic collisions, top speeds, crash physics, handling, avoidance control and AI control.

In-game relationships have been edited so that police, gangs, animals and pedestrians interact more dynamically with players. When players stand close to NPCs, it will take a longer time before they run off.

The new mod uses the cutting-edge Reshade & Enb configurations to provide perfect color balance to "Gran Thaft Auto 5." Major changes have been made to several visual aspects of the game. Texture upscaling has been done to plants, grass, bushes, water, blood, vehicles, stars, moon, etc.

All original weapons have been modified so that they would produce realistic recoil, bullet spread, tracer fx, muzzle flash fx and reload animation speeds. Bullets travel at a slightly reduced pace instead of being an instant hit. Some materials can now be shot through like thin metal, wood, plastic, and other non-metal or non-concrete surfaces.

Other weapon and melee changes are as follows:

  • Bullets can now shoot apart fences and other in game objects that were previously unbreakable.
  • Overhauled bullet impact effects and particles. More and better controlled debris, as well as bigger environment bullet holes.
  • Helicopters now fire missiles semi auto!
  • Changed grenade explosion to the rpg effect, and altered and changed every single explosion effect in the game.
  • Accurate rag doll responses from weapon fire.
  • Increased burn time, spread, and improved visual look of all fire and the materials it touches.
  • Police and gang weapon loadouts have been modified to allow them carry different weapons and pack more of a punch!
  • Realistic blood textures, as well as blood sprays and mist.
  • Blood decals and damage now appear from a much farther distance.
  • Big overhaul to melee fighting and general ped interaction, kick less, punch faster, fight peds longer!

Rockstar doesn't seem to mind about the rampant "Grand Theft Auto 5" modding on PC, given the fact how mods keep the game going even after players complete the single-player campaign. Needless to say, modding is strictly forbidden in "GTA Online." However, banned cheaters can still return to the online feature via an in-game exploit, per a previous Latin Post report.
