“Jane the Virgin” returns to The CW in the fall where former “Telenovela” star Eva Longoria will join the show to direct “Jane the Virgin” Season 3 Episode 3. Stars of the show posted to social media confirming Longoria’s short gig with the fan-favorite show and pictures of actor Brett Dier on set tell us that Michael Cordero Jr. is still alive.

Eva Longoria on Jane the Virgin Season 3

Latina actress Longoria tweeted a photo of the script to “Jane the Virgin” Season 3 Episode 3 to confirm her involvement in the show. Episode No. 303 is written by Carolina Rivera and Micah Schraft while directed by Eva Longoria Baston.

“Ohhhhh can’t wait. Jane the Virgin get ready!” Longoria captioned the photo. Actor Justin Baldoni, who plays Jane Villanueva’s (Gina Rodriguez) baby daddy Rafael Solano on the show, posted an Instagram photo welcoming Longoria and calling her a bad*ss director.

Michael Still Alive in Jane the Virgin Season 3

Dier’s appearance in the “Jane the Virgin” IG post shows that he is active on set with the rest of the crew for Season 3 although a shocking Season 2 finale made fans question his death. Dier also posted a photo to his own account.

“Michael and Jane in thaaa house!!!” he captioned the post.

Will Michael be alive and healthy in the next season? In the “Jane the Virgin” Season 2 finale, Michael exposed his partner Susanna Barnett (Megan Ketch) of being linked to the Sin Rosetra crimes and she shot him in the chest.

The cliffhanger left us wondering whether the bullet pierced his heart and killed him, or if he is just injured. Although show-runners say Michael will be in “Jane the Virgin” season 3, it is still possible that he will appear as a vegetable.

Jane’s Virginity

If Michael dies so quickly after their marriage, or becomes a vegetable, what will happen to Jane?

She might run into the arms of Rafael for comfort, giving #TeamRafael fans the moment they all have been waiting for. Will Jane lose her virginity to Rafael should she become a widow?

“I think the best thing about telenovela is that you never know what’s going to happen, and you have strong arguments for Jane being with both characters,” Baldoni told E! News ahead of the “Jane the Virgin Season 2 finale.
