CW's "Jane the Virgin" won People's Choice Awards' Favorite New TV Comedy Award Wednesday night, Just Jared reported. Actress Gina Rodriguez accepted the award with gratitude.

"WE WON #peopleschoiceawards Thank you #warriors who voted for us and supported us from the beginning! #cantStopWontStop #janethevirgin," she posted to her Instagram account.

Chris Evans won an award for his work for "Captain America: The Writer Soldier," USA Today reported.

"I don't win stuff, so this is kind of cool," Evans said while accepting the honor for action-movie actor. He figured that "40 percent of the votes were my mom, and the other 60 percent means a lot to me."

"Tammy" star Melissa McCarthy won Favorite Comedic Movie Actress after turning heads with her slimmer figure on the red carpet. "Without you, I wouldn't have a job and I'll stay around as long as you'll have me," she said.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting was honored twice for the night. She won the award for Network Comedic TV Actress for the second consecutive year and her show, "The Big Bang Theory," won the honor for Network TV Comedy for the fourth time.

Actress Viola Davis won Favorite Actress in a New TV Series for starring in "How to Get Away with Murder." She thanked "Murder" executive producers Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers for "thinking of a leading lady who looks like my classy beauty."

ABC News reported that Ben Affleck won Favorite Humanitarian for creating the Eastern Congo Initiative to help the people there.
