To celebrate the 10th anniversary of "Saw," Lionsgate will bring the psychological thriller back to the big screen this Halloween.

The gruesome series, which is centered on serial killer Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) and his almost impossible traps that give victims no choice but to mutilate themselves in order to make it out alive, became a huge part of Halloween tradition from 2004 to 2010, with one film released each year.

Produced by Gregg Hoffman, Oren Koules and Mark Burg, the first installment starring Cary Elwes and Danny Glover (released during Halloween weekend on Oct. 29, 2004) earned over $100 million in its initial box office run. With its six sequels, the horror movie grossed $874 million worldwide and was honored as the "Most Successful Horror Franchise" in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Moreover, the original "Saw" was the first collaboration between director James Wan and screenplay writer Leigh Whannell and led them to create another horror franchise for "Insidious." Also, Wan branched out to direct other high-profile films like "The Conjuring" as well as upcoming "Fast & Furious 7."

"Saw" is set to return to theatres nationwide for one week only, starting on Friday, Oct. 31, with select early screenings beginning on Thursday night, Oct. 30.
