NBA Players Home: Ex-Star Joe Smith Selling Arizona Property for $2.75 Million
Former Los Angeles Lakers power forward Joe Smith is looking for a buyer for his Arizona property.
Smith, who was the over-all number one pick during the NBA 1995 draft, is selling his Scottsdale home for $2.75 Million, Los Angeles Times reported.
The single-story home of Smith, who first played for the Golden State Warriors, offers several features for a serious buyer. The 8,200-square-foot desert home in Scottsdale has a contemporary appeal with five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a foyer, a large grand living room, a formal dining area, an open-area kitchen equipped with an island, a media room and a game room with a bar.
The Tuscan-designed dwelling place resting on almost an acre of Arizona land has a pool with a spa and a fire pit. Children will also enjoy running around the expansive yard and playground. An outdoor casita that serves as a personal gym or a music studio adds to the charm of the property.
The real estate agent who handles the listing is Yolanda Smith, the athlete's wife. In an interview with Busted Coverage she revealed that the home has two home offices especially catered for professional owners. Inside, a spacious kitchen can actually be a venue for family bonding as it has a "great conversational sitting area and bar." The home also comes with a custom home theater and a game room where children or teens can play.
"Outside, the covered patio is wonderful for relaxing and enjoying the sunset view. You can also enjoy a game of basketball/tennis or work on your putting game. In the casita you can stay in shape with the fully equipped workout room or record your favorite songs in the music studio," Mrs. Smith added.
Smith played last in the 2010-2011 season and had 16 years of professional basketball experience over his entire career, ESPN noted. Just recently, he was spotted in the Phoenix Suns' pre-draft workout. AZ Central wrote that Smith is "a player development coach candidate" for the team.
