One of the greatest rivalries in NFL history gets renewed this week as the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins face off on Monday Night Football. Neither team has a winning record at the moment, but these teams always give fans a memorable matchup.

Washington Redskins (5-6)

Despite their mediocre 5-6 record, the Redskins are actually in first place in the NFC East. The Redskins defeated the New York Giants last week, and they have a superior division record, so they have the tie-breaker over Big Blue at the moment.

The Redskins haven't had a single winning streak all season, but a win over the Tony Romo-less Cowboys would give them their first. Statistically speaking, the Redskins rank 25th in team offense and 22nd in defense, but as long as they continue to win divisional games, they will be just fine. Kirk Cousins is playing pretty good considering he was the backup quarterback and DeSean Jackson has been hurt for a good portion of this season. Robert Griffin III isn't even suiting up anymore.

The Redskins play the Chicago Bears next week.

Dallas Cowboys (3-8)

It's been an extremely disappointing season for the 3-8 Cowboys. Jason Garret has looked lost, the offensive line is good but inconsistent, Tony Romo has been constantly injured, and off the field issues have been front and center.

As crazy as it may seem, the Cowboys are actually still in this playoff race because the NFC East has been so bad this year. The issue for the Cowboys is simple; they can't win without Romo throwing the football. The Cowboys are a miserable 0-7 with Matt Cassel and Brandon Weeden this year. Many fans believe Kellen Moore should get a chance considering he was 50-3 in college playing at Boise State.

The Cowboys defense will have to get pressure on Cousins and stop Alfred Morris in order to win this game. Dez Bryant is going to have to have a monster game alongside Jason Witten for the Cowboys to have a chance.

The Cowboys play the Green Bay packers next week.

Schedule

The Cowboys and Redskins will play each other on Monday night on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game will be played at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. You can watch a live game stream here.

Prediction

We just keep waiting for it, but it never happens. The Cowboys haven't proven they can win a single game without Romo this year, and the Redskins are 2-1 against NFC East teams so far. The Redskins are at home, they are much more healthy, and they know they should win this game.

Redskins win 21-17
