The original Google Nexus 6, with its giant 6-inch screen, has been pulled from the Google Store. The phone, made by Motorola, is now being replaced by the 5.7-inch Nexus 6P made by Huawei.

The Google Nexus 6 went on sale last year with a large screen and a high price tag, but now it is no longer being sold in the Google Store, Tech Radar reports.

Droid Life was the first to spot that the Nexus 6 could no longer be purchased from the Google Store, posting a screenshot that shows the description and features of the phone along with a picture gallery. It looks like a normal product page for the Nexus 6, but at the top of the page, the button says "Not Available" instead of "Buy" like it does for other Nexus phones.

The Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X are the two latest devices from Google, both released this year. The Nexus 6P is the larger smartphone with a 5.7-inch screen, while the Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch screen.

The Nexus 6 might have just been too big for consumers to like. With such a large unit, people with smaller hands probably avoided the Nexus 6.

Not only was the phone very large, it had a high starting price of $649. The phone did come with premium specs like a quad-core Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM, either 32GB or 64GB of storage, and a 13 megapixel (MP) camera. The price did come down after a while as well, but the size still probably kept buyers away.

The Nexus 6P is stil a premium phone, and it is much easier to hold. For those who prefer a bigger screen, a fully metal body and powerful performance, the Nexus 6P delivers.

The Nexus 6 is only available through third party retailers like eBay or Amazon. On Amazon, it is available for $349.

The Nexus 6P starts at $499 directly from the Google Store.
