Miami Dolphins are set to welcome former New York Giants defensive end Damontre Moore.

Dolphins pick up the DeSoto, Texas-born football player on Monday, Dec. 14, just three days after he was released by the Giants, NFL.com reported, citing a source who told media insider Ian Rapoport of the news.

A source told the New York Daily News that the Giants cut him for "discipline-related reasons." The Giants reportedly let go of Moore on Friday, Dec. 11, following an alleged fight with defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins on Thursday, Dec. 10.

A separate article of NFL.com informed that Moore and Jenkins had a fight over blue Beats By Dre headphones, which Moore was not able to have received. Daily News noted that these headphones were given by Odell Beckham Jr. for his team. However, per sources knowledgeable of the incident, even though there were several of these items were handed out, some of the Giants, including Jenkins, tried getting several pairs.

Moore told 98.7 ESPN Radio that he could have managed the situation better by just walking away, ESPN noted.

"I definitely could've handled it better by, obviously, just walking away. The crazy thing about it is, I don't really necessarily look at it as over a Beats by Dre headphone...I just felt like as a teammate and a brother, things should've been handled a certain way. But also, I should've handled things a certain way. Maybe talking it out a little more and walking away from it," Moore explained.

This is not the first time the Giants have been disappointed with Moore's actions.

In October, Giants coach Tom Coughlin was not happy with Moore's huge penalty arising from "roughing" Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, Pro Football Talk noted.

Moore explained that the reason he tackled the Bradford even though he already threw the ball was him having "poor football IQ," the Giants' official site noted.

Even while at the training camp in August, the third-year NFL athlete was also involved with a fight against teammate and offensive lineman Justin Pugh, the Daily News informed.

The incident also irritated Coughlin.

"I was upset about the fight, losing their temper and all that stuff, but the bottom line is you can't afford to do it and lose a guy," the Giants' coach said.

Now, Moore, who has delivered 8.5 sacks in his three seasons with the Giants per ESPN stats, will be officially part of the Dolphins lineup.

Yet, ESPN noted that some of his teammates will definitely miss him as he energetically encouraged them during game days and attended several charity events for the team.

Is it wise for the Giants to cut Moore?
