Saturday’s chance to win big money playing Powerball is here.

The grand prize is currently at $202 million, with a cash value of $125.9 million.

Last Saturday’s winning numbers were 9, 10, 32, 42, and 55, and the Powerball was 6. There were regular 731,972 winners, and $6,211,070 in non-jackpot money was won.

There are nine ways to win at Powerball. The chances of winning the grand prize are 1 in 292,201,338, and the chances of winning $1,000,000 are 1 in 11,688,053.52.

A Powerball player in Michigan has just won a $1 million by playing a $2 Powerball ticket. Morning Star reports the ticket was bought at a convenience store in the city of Alma.

By definition, lottery winners are lucky people. But sometimes, it appears, these lucky people get a little help.

Eddie Tipton, the former security director of the Multi-State Lottery Association, has been accused of using special software to find out what the upcoming lottery numbers were going to be before they were drawn. Tipton would then allegedly get an accomplice to buy the winning ticket.

Engadget reports Tipton has a history of fraud and was once convicted of tampering with the Iowa lottery. Authorities are now investigating Tipton’s involvement in lottery schemes in 37 other states.

Iowa deputy attorney general Thomas H. Miller feels that the discovery of Tipton’s alleged computer crimes will soon reveal more criminal activity. "It would be pretty naive to believe they are the only four [jackpots involved in the scheme] p. If you find one cockroach, you have to assume there are 100 more you haven't found," he said.

Already, lottery divisions in Colorado, Wisconsin and Oklahoma have confirmed that they awarded around $8 million to Tipton and his partners in crime.
