Episode 7 filming is well under way, and while JJ Abrams is still remaining frustratingly tight-lipped about the status of the film, we can confirm bits and pieces of the film as time goes on. The latest confirmation: a familiar planet will be making an appearance in the new film!

According to IGN, JJ Abrams has confirmed that he is in the process of "rebuilding an extensive recreation" of Tatooine, the desert planet which is the home of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, and of course his son, Luke Skywalker. The set, according to the site, will be built in a "Morocco-like environment" (we'll recall that the original Tatooine was filmed in the Tunisian desert), adding further credence to the notion that Tatooine will be revisited by our friends old and new!

Furthermore, according to The Guardian, don't expect too much CGI in this latest film. Abrams has confirmed that, while some special effects will be used, he's planning to stay true to the "original flavor" of the movies by creating as many "true life" sets as possible.

Meanwhile, in other casting rumors, there's a new face on the scene, according to The Hollywood Reporter: Maisie Richardson-Sellers. If the name doesn't ring any bells, it shouldn't: she's a new actress, and she has no movie credits to her name (which, if we will recall, is most in line with the actors and actresses who were slated to play leads in the six previous Star Wars films -- Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford had few, if any, casting credits to their name prior to their iconic roles). But she's met with the Disney executives, and she's rumored to be up for a "major role" in the new film. Namely: she's rumored to be the spawn of Obi-Wan Kenobi, a role for which Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o was also being considered.
