Erica Mena Describes 'Love & Hip-Hop: New York' Extremely Boring
"Love and Hip-Hop: New York" cast member Erica Mena broke her silence after going through a series of setbacks in her career and love life. As per Design and Trend, Mena finally shared her sentiments after leaving the show.
During her interview with VH1, Mena shared that the series eventually became boring due to her absence. She then added that even the fans would agree that the show grew tiresome without her character and chaos.
"I wasn't sad to see the show go on without me, If anything it was boring, and I think the audience agrees that it's extremely boring without me."
Leaving the show may be a bit hard for her. She then added that it was the right thing for her to do. Mena then shared that she's been the center of gossip all though out the last season and other cast members would spread lies and rumors about her.
Due to the fact that the rest of the cast members would treat her poorly, Mena decided that to film the reunion separately along with her co-star, Mona Scott Young.
"I decided to film separately, because I honestly felt like throughout the whole season I was the main target." said the Bronx native. "It was actually a moment for me to let off steam and be able to close that chapter of my life. You can't ever move on without the proper closure. I felt like especially because all of the false allegations and rumors that were made up about me throughout my whole last season, that it was my time to really retaliate."
In addition to her interview with VH1, Mena added that the world is still interested with who she is, and the TV network is aware of that fact.
"What people fail to realize is that when I first got approached to do Love & Hip Hop it because I was supposed to be spinning off and becoming the headliner for another Love & Hip Hop city which wasn't New York. I feel like me and the network have established a relationship so who is to say what could be next. I feel like I am built for this world and I've always been a very open person. The world isn't done watching Erica Mena on TV and I know that."
