The New York Knicks seem to be making it clear that Lamar Odom has a place on the team as long as his contract is not guaranteed.

The 34-year-old NBA veteran, who has been the center of controversy for the better part of the last year, had a short stint in Europe this season but the comeback attempt was derailed by injury. At his age, New York likely wants to at least get a feel for Odom's current progress and the team hopes to work with him in the offseason to prepare for the 2014-15 campaign. New York was recently eliminated from playoff contention, giving the team even more reason to take a few chances.

Perhaps the driving force behind the team's interest in Odom has been new team President Phil Jackson, who previously served as Odom's coach. The two had a brief conversation during a Knicks game a few weeks ago and people have started to wonder whether they discussed any potential opportunities for Odom next season.

According to Marc Stein at ESPN, the Knicks plan to sign Odom before the NBA regular season wraps up on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, Odom's marriage is starting to seem like a distant memory after Khloé Kardashian's recent action on social media. Kardashian has not only been seen out on multiple occasions with rapper French Montana but she also has started to post some interesting things on Instagram. While Kardashian posted a message that said "only love could heal," French posted "thinking about the next move." Neither of them have confirmed that they are dating but plenty of people are starting to wonder, especially considering their public profile together and the Instagram posts.

What do you think is going to happen next? Will Lamar join the Knicks while Khloé continues to go out with Montana? Feel free to chime in via the comments section located below and let us know what you think.
