Jaden Smith is the new face of Louis Vuitton. The actor recently participated in a photo shoot as he models the famous brands Spring/Summer 2016 fashion wear for women. The son of Hollywood stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith showed no qualms as he posed dressed in a skirt with the other female models.

Nicolas Ghesquiere, the creative director for Louis Vuitton, announced Smith as the brand's new face for their Spring/Summer 2016 Womenswear collection on his Instagram.

"Happy to introduce Jaden Smith @christiaingrey in the new SS16 @louisvuitton ad Campaign photographed by Bruce Weber," he wrote as caption along a photo of Smith dressed in an embroidered knee-length skirt and a fringe top paired with a leather black jacket. The actor completed his outfit with black glovelets and loafers.

Ghesquiere also shared another photo taken from the Summer/Spring 2016 photo shoot for Louis Vuitton. This time, the 17-year old is seen posing with three other female models along a sidewalk. Ghesquiere captioned the shot, "@sarahdonnealia @riannevanrompaey @jean_campbell #jadensmith @christiaingrey in the new @louisvuitton SS16 ad Campaign photographed by Bruce Weber." @sarahdonnealia @riannevanrompaey @jean_campbell #jadensmith @christiaingrey in the new @louisvuitton SS16 ad Campaign photographed by Bruce Weber

This is not the first time "The Karate Kid" star has worn a dress in public. He reportedly had tongues clicking when he decided to wear a dress to prom earlier this year, according to Mail Online. He had worn a white skirt when he accompanied "The Hunger Games" star Amandla Stenberg to prom. He also wore a dress in two separate Coachella events last year.

A photo shared by Mail Online showed Smith in April wearing a long dress-like shirt with large floral designs printed at the front. He also wore a black knee-length dress when he joined the Coachella Music Festival in November, as seen in another picture posted by the site.

The young star has reportedly been hit with criticisms over his choice of unisex clothes. However, despite the criticisms, Smith has remained vocal about his interest to wear this type of clothing. In a previous interview with GQ back in June, the singer said he likes to express his emotions through his wardrobe. His choice of clothing supposedly depends on his mood for the day.

"I'm just expressing how I feel inside, which is really no particular way because every day it changes how I feel about the world and myself, but I like wearing super drapey things so I can feel as though I'm a super hero, but don't have to necessarily wear super hero costumes every day," he said.
