The WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is one of the highlights during WrestleMania weekend where wrestling legends are immortalized. "The Icon" Sting headlines the 2016 Hall of Fame class, but who could join him and 129 others that have already been inducted?

According to PWInsider Elite via Wrestling Inc, "The Fabulous Freebirds," Stan Hansen and John "Bradshaw" Layfield are among the names being discussed to join Sting in the 2016 class. The first two names are reportedly locked in to be announced in the coming weeks while JBL is still being considered.

"The Fabulous Freebirds"

The Freebirds was a tag team in the 1980s composed of original members Michael "PS" Hayes, Buddy "Jack" Roberts and Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy. Jimmy "Jam" Garvin was associated with the group in the mid-1980s and was considered as the fourth Freebird.

The team wrestled and won tag team championships with different promotions like the National Wrestling Alliance, World Championship Wrestling and World Class Championship Wrestling. The Freebirds was a pioneering tag team in the wrestling industry for creating the "Freebird Rule," where any two members of the team can defend the title on any given night, per WWE.com.

Stan Hansen

According to his WWE Profile, "The Bad Man from Borger, Texas" is one the greatest "gaijin" wrestlers in history for his success in Japan. He wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling and won several championships in All Japan Pro Wrestling throughout the 1980s.

Hansen's career spanned for almost 30 years while also wrestling in promotions like the American Wrestling Association, World Championship Wrestling and WWE, known then as World Wide Wrestling Federation. He is also known for his very stiff wrestling style as well as making the lariat finishing move popular.

John "Bradshaw" Layfield

Many casual WWE fans know JBL as the loudmouth color commentator on Monday Night RAW, but the Texas-native is a former WWE champion. He is also a multi-time tag team champion with Hall of Famer Ron "Farooq" Simmons as "The APA" or "The Acolytes Protection Agency."

He defeated the late Eddie Guerrero in 2004 to win his first and only WWE title reign that lasted for 280 days. JBL also won the Intercontinental and U.S. championships once in his career, per his WWE Profile.

Vader

There are no confirmed reports if Big Van Vader will be part of this year's Hall of Fame Class, but he recently posted a picture of the Hall of Fame logo on his official Twitter account. Vader never won a title in the WWE, but won the WCW World Heavyweight three times. Despite his billed weight of almost 450 pounds, Vader could easily perform a moonsault back in the day.
