Eli (Allan Cumming) will say his finale goodbyes following the loss of Peter Florrick's (Chris Noth) White House dreams in Sunday night's all-new episode of "The Good Wife."

In the last episode, Peter's ambitions to win the nation's highest office came to a tragic end when he lost the Iowa Caucuses to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

A preview of the next episode, which is titled "Tracks," shows Eli moving out of his office and saying goodbye to Ruth (Margo Martindale). He also appears to try to make amends with Alicia (Julianna Margulies) in another part of the trailer, but the feisty attorney closes a door in his face. Ouch.

"Alicia and Cary join forces to defend a former client facing a multi-million dollar lawsuit over ownership rights to his new music. Also, Alicia's neighbors are unhappy that her law firm is operating out of her apartment and threaten to evict her," reads the synopsis for "Tracks," according to Carter Matt.

Viewers can also look forward to Carrie Preston's return as Elsbeth, a fan-favorite character that earned Preston an Emmy Award. While at the TCA Winter Press Tour in Los Angeles earlier this week, the actress told E! that she has filmed a new episode of the legal drama.

It has also been revealed that "The Good Wife" show creators Robert and Michelle King will leave the popular series at the end of the season.

"The Kings did say they would not be returning after this year, but we have a deep bench on this show...we haven't made any determination," CBS executive Glenn Geller told E! at the 2016 TCA Winter Press Tour. "We haven't determined if there will be another season or not."

Rather than continuing to work on the highly acclaimed CBS drama, the married couple will instead focus on a new scripted series on CBS called "BrainDead."

Episode 12 of Season 7 of "The Good Wife," "Tracks," airs on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
