What do you do when you don't actually want the sender of the message to know that you've read their message already? None, because most apps let you know when the message you received has already been read and vice versa.

But in a rare and fortunate circumstance, WhatsApp is now delivering something that will let you read someone's message without actually giving them the idea that you did so, Digital Trends reports. According to the news outlet, there is a solution to that problem that you can do instantly, in case you receive that undeniably relevant message.

In order to do so, you need to remove the tick system of WhatsApp and go incognito when reading messages. To do so, go to your WhatsApp settings and choose privacy. Switch off the Read Tab and you're good to go. Note that if you choose this form of privacy, you are also allowing the other party to automatically register to the same option, which means that you won't be able to see if they have read your message.

If you wish for another option, you can also put your phone on airplane mode before opening the message. This WhatsApp hack will allow you to read the message without revealing that you have actually read it. Take note that while you're able to do this, the messages that you've read prior to switching to airplane mode will show that you've read them.

In order to prevent that and to keep the anonymity of having read the messages, Digital Trends recommends that you close your WhatsApp application, turn on the airplane mode of your phone and return to the app.

According to Tech Worm, you might encounter a "warning pop-up" that tells you that WhatsApp is not working properly, which can be actually related to your lack of connection to the internet but don't mind this. You can still navigate through your WhatsApp messages without letting the sender know you have read it.

The blue tick that confirms the sender that you have read the messages is not available while the device is on airplane mode. However, once you return to the original setting and remove the device from that mode, the blue tick returns.

Now, you can enjoy WhatsApp for free. The developer recently announced that they will be waiving the subscription fee for the popular messaging app, saying, "Over the next several weeks, we'll remove fees from the different versions of our app and WhatsApp will no longer charge you for our service."
