The Royal Rumble is less than a week away and WWE currently has a planned in place for one of the most interesting Rumble matches. According to a report by PWMania, the plan is to have Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar end the Rumble in a controversial manner, leading to a main event match in next month's Fastlane pay-per-view.

According to Inquisitr, the decision for the outcome of the Royal Rumble is not final and can still change until the big event on Sunday. However, it is noted that interference from Triple H is also a huge possibility, leading to the controversial finish.

The report adds that even though this year's Royal Rumble event is very interesting with Reigns defending the WWE World Heavyweight championship in the 30-man Rumble, the finish is very predictable that frustrates many diehard fans. The WWE will surely make Reigns look stronger to elevate his status more than ever going into WrestleMania 32 in Dallas on April 3.

In the recent episode of Monday Night RAW, there was a physical confrontation between Reigns and Lesnar towards the end of the show. The WWE champion was able to hit the spear on Lesnar after dismantling League of Nation members, per Wrestling Inc.

However, The Wyatt Family came down to attack both men with Bray Wyatt hitting his Sister Abigail finisher on both Reigns and Lesnar. Daily Wrestling News reports that the attack could possibly lead to a feud between the Wyatts and Lesnar.

The report adds that the WWE may be planning to have Lesnar face Reigns at Fastlane for the title with the champion retaining via interference from The Wyatt Family. It is a way to protect "The Beast" in a loss as well as starting a new feud in time for WrestleMania 32.

As previously mentioned, there are still a few days to go before the Rumble and two months away from WrestleMania, so plans are going to change from time to time. There is also the idea of having Lesnar wrestle two members of The Wyatt Family in a Handicap Match in Dallas.

The Royal Rumble will be airing live on the WWE Network at Orlando, Florida on Jan. 24. As of this writing, there are only 13 known participants with Reigns coming in as the first entrant, per WWE.com. There is the possibility of several surprise participants including legends, returning superstars or even newly acquired talents.
