"Dancing with the Stars" is entertaining people live on tour at the moment, but hype is already beginning to build around the upcoming Season 22. As always during the offseason of the hit reality competition, what's creating the most buzz is the speculation on the stars set to hit the dance floor next.

According to a report from Design & Trend, Canadian actress Italia Ricci is one of the potential candidates for the next season along with "The Bachelor" hunk Ben Higgins. The latter talked to E! Online about the possibility of stepping into his dancing shoes saying, "I think I'm excited about what experiences are next in life. Just like I never expected to be on 'The Bachelorette', I never expected to be the Bachelor, I don't know what to expect next and I'm open to anything."

However, it might prove to be awkward as Higgins' ex-girlfriend Kaitlyn Bristowe has also been reported to be one of the potential candidates of DWTS. Other upcoming contestants are reportedly Robert Irwin who is the brother of last season's winner Bindi, and Rashad Jennings of the New York Giants.

The celebrity list isn't the only roster that might be getting a proper shake-up in the next season of "Dancing with the Stars". The judges table will welcome back Len Goodman, who took a leave last season to focus on spending time with his family in the U.K.

"Back on DWTS season 22," the long-time judge said on his Twitter account. "So nice people are welcoming me back. Be careful what you wish for."

Meanwhile, the tight-knit group of professional dancers on the show is also facing the possibility of saying goodbye to one of its own: Derek Hough. The defending champion of the show is one of the staples of DWTS, but he has hinted at a potential exit after his landslide win with partner Bindi Irwin last season.

In a conversation with E! News after his big win, the dancer was asked of his plans to return to the show for Season 22.

"I don't know, who knows," Hough responded during the interview. He added, "I have to say this isn't a bad way to go out."

Although little has been confirmed by DWTS, it won't be long now before more news and casting updates begin rolling out of production. "Dancing with the Stars" Season 22 is set to air its pilot episode on Mar. 21 at ABC.
