Jennifer Lopez recently opened her long anticipated Las Vegas residency tour at The Axis at Planet Hollywood to rave reviews and with a few stunning surprises.

E! Online reports the "Waiting For Tonight" singer welcomed onetime collaborators Pitbull ("On The Floor"), Ja Rule (I'm Real") and Ne-Yo ("All That I Have") for renditions of their former hits.

Throughout the night, Lopez shined before a sold-out audience that included the likes of Justin Bieber, Cheryl Burke, Leah Remini, Derek Hough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Gina Rodriguez, Nicole Scherzinger, Wilmer Valderrama, Rebel Wilson and Hoda Kotb.

Also in the house were current "Shades of Blue" cast members Ray Liotta, Santino Fontana, Sarah Jeffery and Warren Kole. "Boy Next Door" co-star Ryan Guzman was also in attendance.

A beaming Lopez performed an array of tunes from her catalogue of hits, including "Love Don't Cost a Thing," "Jenny From the Block" and "Get Right."

"It's everything you can expect and more," beamed choreographer boyfriend Casper Smart. "It is so entertaining. I can't even ... It's just entertainment from start to finish."

The 46-year-old Lopez later hinted to E! her whole plan was to tailor the evening to fit the moment.

"It felt great," she said. "It felt really great. It's a room-it's a different venue than what I've played before and I wanted to tailor the show to fit in that room and I think it felt really good. I think people got, 'OK, this is J. Lo's music and concert, but it's also J. Lo's Vegas show.'"

The last several weeks have seen Lopez at her busiest and finest. Besides her Vegas shows, The Hollywood Reporter recently sang her praises at the launch of "Shades of Blue," and "American Idol" is back in the news too.

"We never expected them to both launch in the same month along with 'Idol,'" she said. "It just happened that way. But definitely a good start to an amazing year. 'Jenuary' for sure."
