Nintendo has released the Japanese manual for Pokemon Red, Green, Blue and Yellow versions of the game that is coming out for the 3DS console. However, Siliconera translated the manual and noted that all four versions of the game will not feature a Restore Point.

A Restore Point is one of the best features of Virtual Console games, where the players can create a save point and be able to resume play at any point in the game. Players will have to use the traditional save system of previous Pokemon versions.

Players also can't pause the game and will have no access to the 3DS Home Menu. The game now requires being closed first before the player can access the Home Menu. The manual also showed that mechanics on Pokemon trading or battling with other players remained the same.

However, the Virtual Console is gone but it will be replaced by the Cable Club Communication Menu that lets players search for a partner or send out signals themselves to indicate that they are looking to trade or battle. The new menu appears on the lower screen when a player searches for other users playing the game.

Besides the release of the Pokemon Red, Blue, Green and Yellow versions on 3DS, Nintendo and the Pokémon Company will also release special limited-edition 2DS handheld consoles of Pokémon Red, Blue, Green and Yellow versions. It will be released the same day as the 3DS versions, per the Pokémon website. The 2DS handhelds will be available in four colors based on the four original versions of the game.

Pokemon card traders will also be enjoying the re-release the original set of Pokémon trading cards. The first ever base set of the trading card game will be available for purchase at the official website of the trading card game.

However, according to Polygon, the trading cards set will only be available in Japan and will not be released for Europe and North America. The set will include a player's manual, a coin and 60 cards that are identical to the original sets released in 1996.

The 3D versions, 2DS handheld consoles and the original set of Pokémon trading cards will be released worldwide on Feb. 27, 2016 to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the franchise. The very first versions of the game that were released 20 years ago were the Pokémon Red and Green.

Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow will be available for purchase worldwide via the 3DS shop while the Green version is exclusive for Japan.
