Alicia represented a colleague while trying to halt NSA spying on the latest installment of "The Good Wife."

In "All Tapped Out," Alicia emerges from her dark state of grief over Will's (Josh Charles) death to represent Finn (Matthew Goode) to the State Attorney's investigative/disciplinary board. Alicia's firm also calls her back as word spreads of the merger between Florrick/Agos and Lockhart/Gardner.

Alicia then adds her to already full plate by finding out the National Security Agency has been wiretapping her.

It turns out the NSA is wiretapping the firm because they believed a former client was a terrorist. They then continued to wiretap them, even after the case was dropped, then also wiretapped them during the governor's race. Yet, they are still wiretapping the firm, and no one knows why.

Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) then calls Alicia and tells her that his firm is merging with Lockhart/Gardner, and that he also wants Chumhum back.

Jeff, an NSA contractor, tells Alicia that the firm is being tapped because of a three-hop warrant. They then find out that Peter (Chris Noth) was making a secret deal with a senator's son about the Westgate Construction site. The senator is angry about the tapping, and gives Peter the name of the person pushing the wiretaps. Peter then promptly puts an end to the spying.

At the end of the episode, Peter and Alicia sit down to arrange what social functions they'll attend together, signaling the end of their marriage.

On the next episode, "Tying the Knot," "Alicia becomes a reluctant witness when a body is discovered in Colin Sweeney's home while she is there. Meanwhile, an unfortunate picture of Zach threatens to become a public relations nightmare for Peter."
