A jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 is still not available and the availability of such a tool is being delayed. There is not much time for a jailbreak tool to become available because iOS 9.3 is right around the corner.

Friday, the public version of the iOS 9.3 beta 2 was released to beta testers. This signals that Apple is almost ready to fully release the final version of iOS 9.3 to the public and there is still no jailbreak tool available for iOS 9.2.

The jailbreak teams of Pangu and TaiG have reportedly been working on a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2, but the release date for a possible jailbreak tool has been delayed, Neuro Gadget reports.

Rumors of iOS 9.2 Jailbreak Tool

There have been rumors of an iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool being available, but those rumors are likely false because Apple already found security issues in iOS 9.2 and patched them up with security patches in the updated version, 9.2.1. These security patches could have messed up any iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool that was created and not yet released to the public.

It is possible Pangu and TaiG are waiting until iOS 9.3 is fully released to the public before they release their iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool. This would give the jailbreak teams the advantage of keeping their vulnerabilities secret and not giving Apple the chance to patch up the exploits in iOS 9.3.

Pangu Partner Might Have Jailbreak Tool

Pangu's partner PP might have created an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, but PP is not releasing any details about it. With all of the news and rumors surrounding an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, it does not seem like the jailbreak community is ready to give up on jailbreaking the operating system. However, it is frustrating that it has taken them this long and no documented progress has been made.

There is also the possibility the jailbreak community is focusing on iOS 9.3 and looking for any exploits and vulnerabilities it can find in that version of iOS 9 so that a jailbreak tool could be released right after iOS 9.3 is released to be the public.
