"WWE SmackDown" kicked off with Roman Reigns vs. Rusev on Tuesday night from Memphis, Tennessee.

The Reigns vs. Rusev match ended in disqualification when Alberto Del Rio appeared and helped attack Reigns. WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose came out to make the save. Reigns and Ambrose would later compete against Del Rio and Rusev during the show's main event.

WWE United States Champion Kalisto fought in a no -title match against Kevin Owens, while Dolph Ziggler was on commentary. Kalisto won the match following an assist from Ziggler. Owens, however, attacked both Kalisto and Ziggler after the match.

Ryback, wearing different attire compared to his usual singlet, defeated Erick Rowan. After the match, Braun Strowman tried to attack Ryback, but the latter managed to escape.

Backstage, Renee Young interviews Becky Lynch, which gets interrupted by Sasha Banks.

AJ Styles defeated The Miz, not with the Styles Clash but with the Calf Killer. Chris Jericho was ringside, and he would ask Styles for a future match. Styles agreed. Jericho vs. Styles is confirmed for next week's "SmackDown."

Also announced for next week's show is the return of Brock Lesnar to the "blue brand."

After JoJo interviewed Reigns backstage, WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day were next in the ring for a promo. The Social Outcasts, minus Bo Dallas, interrupted. A six-man tag-team match then took place with the tag champions taking the victory.

In divas action, WWE Divas Champion Charlotte defeated Alicia Fox in a non-title match.

In the main event, Ambrose and Reigns defeated Del Rio and Rusev after Reigns used a spear.

"WWE SmackDown" airs weekly on Thursdays on the USA Network at 8 p.m. EST.

The show comes a couple week before "Fastlane," the final WWE pay per view before "WrestleMania." At "Fastlane," Ambrose and Reigns are confirmed to fight each other in a triple threat match that includes Lesnar. The winner of the aforementioned match will fight WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H at "WrestleMania's" main event.
