The 57th annual Viña del Mar International Song Festival will kickoff on Feb. 22 and will have a variety of Latino performers taking the stage at Quinta Vergara Park in Chile.

According to the festival's official website, the music festival is held every year to support the community of Viña del Mar, Chile's fourth largest city, and to help increase tourism in the area.

This year, the festival runs from Monday Feb. 22 to Feb. 27 and features 12 musical acts.

Opening the festival will be Marco Antonio Solis and Ricardo Montaner. On Tuesday Feb. 23, Eros Ramazzotti and Ana Torrojas will perform, followed by Alejandro Sanz and Luis Jara on Wednesday, music icons Lionel Richie and Rick Astley on Thursday, and Pablo Alborán and Nicky Jam on Friday.

Closing out the festival on Saturday Feb. 27 will be reggaeton acts Don Omar and Wisin, as well as Chilean indie artist Javiera Mena.

Don Omar shared the news on his Instagram account, and confirmed that he and Wisin would be taking the stage.

Those who won't be able to attend the festival can watch it when it is aired live on HTV, a Latin music videos channel, and on TNT, which will be offering live streaming options.

The festival has been hosted every year since the 1960s. It blends popular American artists with Latin American acts. Along with singers, the festival also features comedians and appearances by television presenters.

What originally began as a platform for aspiring artists, complete with audiences and judges, became a hub for over 15,000 fans to watch popular artists perform hit songs.

Shakira took part in the festival as a competitor back in 1993. The Colombian star performed her song "Eres."

Last year's festival included performances by Romeo Santos, Alejandro Fernandez, Emmanuel, Yandel, and Reik, among others.
