Andy Murray finally won at Wimbledon, and with it, became Britain's first men's Wimbledon champ in over three quarters of a century. Now that the eyes of the world are all firmly focused on the current number two tennis player in the world, many people are wondering, who's that girl that's always on his arm?

Murray's girlfriend is Kim Sears, an artist from the U.K. who met Murray through the social tennis circles they both ran in. Murray and Sears first started dating in 2006, and soon he invited her to one of his first professional matches. She's gone to every one since.

"It's the first time Kim has come to a tournament. That made me quite relaxed. I'll have to take her to some more tournaments," quipped Murray several years ago.

Sears, 25, has been surrounded by tennis her whole life as her father, Nigel Sears, is an English tennis coach. That type of familiarity with the demands of the sport has certainly been a big help in her seven-year relationship with Murray.

"One thing that, I think, really helps with her is that she really understands the sport because she has been around it from a young age," Murray said. "She was used to her dad traveling on the Tour when she was a kid so she knew what it was like to have that sort of distant relationship and that's obviously helped a lot."

The two have been living together since 2009 in their home in Scotland. Though they broke up for a few months during their relationship, it has otherwise been a very stable one that has largely eluded negative attention from the tabloids.

Many have suspected that with the Wimbledon win under his belt, Murray would finally propose to Sears. The possible proposal became such a hot topic in the U.K. that a local sports book even gave 66-1 odds that he would pop the question after the finale. That, however, did not happen.

While Sears may still not be formally part of tennis royalty, she is still successful in her own right. She has spent years as an artist, and has now developed her skill enough to be taken seriously in the field. For her, success is all about doing what you love.

"I view my painting first and foremost as a hobby, which has fortunately grown enough for me to take more seriously. As cheesy as it sounds, Dad has always said to 'find something you love to do, and you'll never work another day in your life'," Sears notes on her official website.
