Disney-Latin America star Martina Stoessel gave a free concert in Argentina on Friday, and she received her fair share of criticism on Twitter.

Stoessel plays "Violetta" in the Disney show of the same name, and she was seen as a huge draw for young girls who make up her fanbase, said the New Zealand Herald. The concert is her way to thank fans after a 200-show tour.

Stoessel has become popular after being cast in the show, and she is the voice behind the Spanish version of "Let it Go." Of course, with that much visibility comes criticism.

Some were upset that her performance was aired on television, and others decided to focus on the way she sounds when she sings live.

"Martina Stoessel sings horribly live," one viewer said.

Another said, "Martina Stoessel or a crying goat? The response will surprise you."

Twitter users took it as an opportunity to pledge their allegiances to groups or performers they believe to be superior to Stoessel. Some, very specifically, said that her fanbase was made up of children aged 3 to 8.

And some couldn't help commenting on what she was wearing.

One user said, "Martina Stoessel can't be dressed any uglier."

But it wasn't completely terrible for the star. "Violetta" is a trending topic in Argentina, showing that she did have a wide reach, as the organizers expected. "Ser Mejor" is also trending, which is the name of one of her songs. People are using the hashtag both for her song and for differents acts of kindness.

The 17-year-old actress was born in Buenos Aires. She is the daughter of producer and director Alejandro Stoessel. Her first role came in 2007 when she played Martina in "Patito Feo."

"Violetta" started in 2010 and Stoessel plays Violetta Castillo. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
