It was a tale of two expecting moms who found themselves getting more attention than they expected, thanks largely to the stark contrast in the size of their baby bumps.

But, all's well that ends well. Chontel Duncan and Natalie Smith just recently bore each of their respective healthy babies after a photo of the pair comparing their pregnancy bellies went viral.

The Two Protagonists Welcomed Their Own Little Bundle Of Joy

Duncan gave birth to a healthy baby boy Jeremiah Thomas Duncan, who weighed a little over 7 lbs, last Good Friday, March 25.

"Healthy happy baby boy, absolutely nothing medically wrong with bubba," she captioned on her Instagram post. "He is extremely alert and very strong shocking the staff here with his arms and neck strength. Absolute champion on the boob & feeding very regularly no problem. My recovery is smooth also with no complications."

Smith, on the one hand, also delivered a healthy baby boy, named Charlie, just a few weeks ahead of her friend Duncan. She also downplayed much of what the critics were saying regarding their strikingly different pregnancy journeys.

"It just proves that it doesn't matter what size you are, it doesn't mean you're unhealthy," Smith said in an interview. "It just means that you have two different pregnancies. Just look at Chontel and I."

Duncan Wasn't Deterred by Critics to be a Fit Mom-to-Be

Apart from the initial backlash that Duncan got from having a slim body and a small tummy during pregnancy, the first-time mom was also blasted by some people over social media posts wherein she was seen kickboxing during the latter stages of her third trimester.

"I've spent many years looking after my health... but more importantly the health of my unborn child's under the strict instructions of the best health professionals," Duncan fired back. "What's sad is how sheltered so many are on what is and what isn't healthy."

On one of her Instagram posts, she shared that she feels good doing Muay Thai and that it helps her with circulation, keeping her body in motion, getting a full body stretch and massage and in feeling fantastic about herself.

She also said that she was aware of the changes in her body brought about by pregnancy and also mindful of her condition while working out. She did not do all the required drills and changed her fitness approach by engaging in a slow progression of modifying exercise after exercise as she neared her due date.
