Seth Rollins returned to WWE programming last week at "WWE Extreme Rules" following a terrible injury six months ago, and spoke about the situation and how a WWE Hall of Famer hurt his feelings.

Bret Hart: The Excellence of Executing Criticism

In Chris Jericho's "Talk Is Jericho" podcast, Rollins said he has full respect for Bret Hart but the Canadian "hurt my feelings more than anything." Rollins acknowledged that Hart made comments about how "safe" the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion needs to be in the ring, particularly referring to Rollins striking John Cena's nose during a televised match several months ago and the leg injury that occurred in Dublin, Ireland, all while being the champion.

Rollins spoke that Bret said, "You couldn't do that because people relied on you as the top guy, and you know, that hurt my feelings. I haven't seen Bret since then, but like, I mean, I know he comes from a different era when he worked through a lot of stuff but man, like, that sucked. That hurt my feelings."

"Dude, I idolized you," Rollins said about Hart. "You were one of the guys who at 6-foot 1 [in height] [and] 230 [lbs], you were a guy that who I was like, 'Hey I can do that because Bret Hart does it.'"

Rollins said he would love to have a discussion with Hart to better understand the Hall of Famer's comments. Rollins reiterated that his injury came from a standard move performed in most of his matches and not a move that's out of the ordinary.

Jericho also acknowledged that Hart basically finished wrestling due to Goldberg's superkick, back at WCW -- the point likely being that a superkick is a common move done in professional wrestling.

Jericho added that Hart does say comments that'll cause a, "What?" reaction.

Rollins recognized that he's been physically hurt in matches by other superstars but "that's the gig," meaning it's expected with the profession.

Cena's Nose Break

"Look, accidents happen. By no means did I intentionally wanted to break John Cena's nose. By no means," said Rollins.

Speaking more about Cena's nose, Rollins said he heard a "crunch" sound once the strike happened. Although Cena may be clumsy at times, something Rollins said even Cena would agree with, Rollins credited Cena for fighting on through the accident and being "one tough, dedicated dude."
