The royal wait is over, and the future King of England is finally here.

Just a day after her delivery, Kate Middleton was already up and about as she exited St. Mary's Hospital with Prince William and their royal baby in her arms today. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a blue Jenny Packham dress with white polka dots, while her husband wore a blue polo. Kate's dress looked a lot like the polka-dotted dress Princess Diana wore when she exited the hospital in 1982, with Prince William in her arms.

The royal couple was so kind to address the hoard of people waiting outside Lindo Wing, where His Royal Highness was born just a few days ago, on Jul. 22. Descending the stairs of the hospital at a little past 7:00 p.m. (local time), William, Kate and the little prince, wrapped in a white blanket, posed for pictures and answered some questions from the press.

"He's got a good pair of lungs on him," William told the reporters. "He's a big boy, he's quite heavy."

Asked how they feel about their first born and the third in line to the throne, Kate answered:

"It's very emotional and it's such a special time. I think any parent probably knows what this feeling is like."

The couple was such in good spirits that they even welcomed questions from the crowd. One reporter asked who the baby showed most resemblance to, Prince William jokingly answered.

"He's got her looks, thankfully." Kate was quick to reply, "No, no, no."

Another asked if the royal baby had enough hair, William replied, "He's got way more than me. Thank God."

The couple also addressed issues about the little royal highness' name.

"We are still working on a name, so we will have that as soon as we can. It is the first time we have seen him really, so we are having a proper chance to catch up with the name," William told reporters.

Earlier in the day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released an official statement through Kensington Palace, as Yahoo! Shine reported.

"We would like to thank the staff at the Lindo Wing and the whole hospital for the tremendous care the three of us have received. We know it has been a very busy period for the hospital and we would like to thank everyone -- staff, patients and visitors -- for their understanding during this time."

The new royalty will be officially addressed as His Royal Highness Prince [name] of Cambridge.
