The Google Pixel camera app is now available to run on other devices, it supports the Android 7.x Nougat smart phones. The newly launched Google Pixel phones is well known for its powerful and quality hardware, but recently the Pixel and Pixel XL software's were discovered to contain exquisite features.

As stated on Wccftech there is no need of money to try out these exquisite features, it appears that the Pixel camera app APK is ripped out and modified to work on ARM64 devices.  It will work on Nexus devices including the Nexus 5X and 6X but will exclude the Nexus 5 and 6.

All credit goes to the developers of XDA for the modified version available for the Nexus users, according to 9to5 Google the app is available to side load and it does not allow access to install over the current camera application.

Any device containing Android Nougat will support the app, the application consists of shooting grids and flash toggles together with a notable feature which gives an option to activate the grid.

Though the addition might not be very huge it does give options to choose between 3x3, 4x4 and the Golden Ratio Grid.

The positive side is the auto-focus lock and exposure control, just a long press on the area and the focus will be locked. The exposure could be adjusted alongside with the display; the only difference is the slider.

The users who have installed the app have responded with a positive feedback in terms of speed, the app seems to be faster when compared with the previous version.

There are also a few animation options available in the settings.  With not much to offer the APK acts as an upgrade to its users enabling them to get a faster response while using the phone. The Google Pixel camera app APK is available on XDA developers.
