Kate Beckinsale husband Len Wiseman has filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage. Len Wiseman, a film director, and writer submitted the legal documents citing irreconcilable differences in a Los Angles court on Friday.

Beckinsale got her break and made her summit of Hollywood at the end of the 1990s, starring alongside Ben Affleck in "Pearl Harbor". She met with Wiseman in the Underworld film, which was released in 2003. In her next film Underworld: Blood Wars, Wiseman helped write and produce. The pair tied the knot in Bell Air, California, in 2004. But together have no kids.

Beckinsale dated Michael Sheen for eight years, before her marriage to Wiseman. She and Sheen both together had a daughter, who is now aged 17.

Neither Kate nor Len is demanding spousal support, indicating that they may have a prenuptial agreement, reported by TMZ.

In November 2015 the split was in the cards, as the couple had reportedly been separated for months and not looking together for several times, reported by ET. The insider report added that neither Beckinsale nor Wiseman had recently been wearing their wedding rings.

Prior to the announcing of their divorce, Len was seen on a various date with much younger actress CJ Franco, 25. Though some report suggested that they have not seen together since Jun of this year.

Franco, who has appeared in TV shows "Sketch Juice" and "No Chance at Love", was first seen with the film director in October 2015, one month before his split with Beckinsale was announced.

A source of US Weekly told that" They tried to make it work, but they end up falling back into old habits and fighting".

Some reports suggested that she has been a relationship with David Williams. But Beckinsale has insisted that they are just friends.

Both Beckinsale and Wiseman are busy in their own world. Beckinsale at the time is filming "Underworld 5" at Prague.

So till the final report, we have to wait and watch.
