The real-life relationship of the 'Descendants of the Sun' lead stars; Song He Kyo and Song Joong Ki continues being hounded by nasty speculations after several reports suggesting that the actor, was just using his relationship between Song He Kyo to hide his real identity. Song Joong Ki's sexuality has been placed into the query and uttered that the actor is actually a gay.

A report by SportsRageous suggested that Song Joong Ki's gender is not what it appears to be. The gay rumors started when he stated that he engraved Kwang Soo's name (his co-star) on a stone beach in Greece then he said that "It was the first time I did such a thing." The speculations regarding his identity mount, even more, when he favored the company of male co-workers and the relationship between his leading lady in DOTS was disclaimed by its executives.

After denying by the DOTS executive that there has been any romance blossoming between the two stars, Song Joong-ki reportedly said that the people and his fans should be focused on his acting career and any rumors regarding his gender preferences should be put to an end, reported by CSN.

The reports also suggested that the stars of the "Descendants of the Sun," the "SongSong" couple will not repricing its roles as Yoo Si-Jin and Kang Mo-on. The previous reports circulated online that there will be a sequel continuing the hit Descendants but it was just confirmed that Hye Kyo and Joong Ki did not accept the offer to replay their characters in season 2.

Therefore, it is best according to DOTS executives to call off the whole show thinking that the fans of the first hit season 1 was greatly loved because of the "SongSong" couple. Song Jong Ki is also reported to return to the hit reality show; "Running Man,"  many assumptions suggest that Song Joong Ki will star in "Train to Busan 2" and his other film, "Battleship Island." These are the main reasons why he can't reprise his role for the season 2 of DOTS.
