The next Apple iPad Mini was expected to be released alongside the iPhone series. Seeing, however, that the upcoming installment of the tech giant's tablet has not seen the rays of 2016, several speculations have risen and the current spin is that Apple might be planning to revamp the iPad Mini line.

Contrary to beliefs that the new rendition of iPad Mini, which is supposed to go under the name iPad Mini 5 in progression to its predecessor, the highly-anticipated device will be rebranded and will be launched as iPad Mini Pro. As such, not only the "iPad Mini 5" will undergo various designs and specs enhancements, but will also be revamped, reported Travelers Today.

Further reports suggested that this is due to Apple's prerogative to continue its Pro line of devices. As such, Apple will be giving its primary focus on the Pro family for the upcoming years. This decision, however, reportedly resulted in the overhaul of the iPad Mini series to be revamped into a new iPad Pro Mini variants as a 7.9-inch tablet.

As for the look and feel of iPad Mini 5, or whatever name it will be baptized as, GameNGuide reported that the upcoming device will be accessible in three storage variations. Apple is most likely to phase out the 16GB storage capacity of the iPad Mini 4 and will incorporate a 32GB, a 64GB, and a 128GB variant instead.

An A9 chipset will also run the iPad Mini 5 with a RAM not less than 3GB. Moreover, it will have an M9 movement coprocessor. Further reports detailed that the camera of the upcoming device will sport an 8MP image quality for the rear cam and 1.2MP for front cam.

The 7.9-inch tablet will also incorporate a Retina IPS show and a 3D Touch strengthened by an aluminum body. All these details, however, are yet to be confirmed on the March 2017 release of iPad Mini 5, so stay tuned for more exciting updates!
