Jeffrey Dean Morgan is proud to announce that Negan will continue to wreak havoc in the lives of the survivors in Alexandria and beyond as he reprises his role of Negan in "The Walking Dead" season 8. Love or hate Negan, he has managed to sizzle Sunday nights with his rants and thrill fans with his murderous attitude. To critics, he has raised the bar for potential antagonists of the AMC apocalyptic series and somehow it's nice to see him weaken in the middle of next season, according to rumors.

Screen Rant had the same opinion. Negan has become one of the most hated villains in TV primetime history that it's going to be sweet to see him weaken and crawl. It's true that his main storyline has not ended in season 7 but in case he stays for another season, there is a good chance that his role will go through huge dramatic changes.

And it looks like the drama is going to begin for Negan in "The Walking Dead" season 8 as Inquisitr confirms that there will be a Negan flashback. So the sinister bat-wielding villain has a heart after all! Everyone will now know why Negan's so bad in his origin flashback story to premiere next season.

Aside from Negan, major characters such as Lucille will also have their spotlight as her own flashback is also rumored to premiere in season 8. And what will happen to Rick and the other survivors? A revolt against Negan could be a possibility but are they that strong to resist him or if they are that physically strong, do they have the guts to look him in the eye?

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will have its midseason break soon. Fans are now guessing who will die soon or who would get hit by Nega's bat soon. Stay tuned for this AMC series every Sunday at 9 p.m.
