The location-based and augmented reality game of 2016 by Niantic "Pokémon GO" took the mobile gaming market by storm with over 50 million downloads on Apple and Android devices. So now after this big hit of the 1st Gen, and finally Pokémon Go Gen 2 is released to the market as an upgrade.

According to PokemonGo, Niantic has revealed several new characters. One hundred new Pokémon will be handed over to the players in Gen 2 in different ways and so the total count will rise to 251. Adding new Pokémon so early in the game by Niantic is a trick to bring back the old player database the game once had. Pokémon Silver and Gold are the added features in Pokémon Go RPGs by Game Freak. Hopefully, Niantic would insert the same features in the mobile version of the game, so that the fans find the game deeper than before. So if the Gen 2 features are packed in the mobile version then the players will have day/night cycles, breeding, Shinies and much more on the next update.

According to TheBitBag, Niantic has released a video regarding the newly revealed characters. The main attraction of this upgrade will be Pichu and Togepi, the Gen 2 Pokémon's. As seen in social media video links, their inclusion in the game will be from an egg hatching. Some more baby Pokémon is sure to come crawling such as Magby, Smoochum, Elekid and much more. The other Pokémons are on their way to be included in the game but not at once as it was done in the earlier Gen 1 version.

Moreover, in the news of Niantic, starting from 29th December 2016 morning, the players from everywhere will get limited editions of Pikachu and to celebrate the festive mood they will be wearing a festive hat. So if the fans encounter any festive Pikachu out in the streets then they may take pictures of them with Pokémon Go AR camera and hashtag them as #HolidayPikachu and share the pic with Niantic.

Fans are also eager to see some updates and words from Niantic in their Facebook and Twitter page.

So with all new features, new baby Pokémon and lots of fun, Pokémon Go Gen 2 is already rated high among the fans.
