It seems that HTC is attempting to take over the global smartphone market with a slew of new rumored devices that are expected to be released at various times later this year.

The newest rumored HTC device is the HTC (M8) Ace, which will likely sport a plastic frame design instead of the premium aluminum one the (M8) currently has now and will also be more curvy, according to Phandroid.

The rumor was first reported April when none other than the technology tipster @evleaks revealed what appears to be the new Ace but the photo the sit acquired was blurred.

Rumored to be priced at $480 off-contract, the newest (M8) spin-off device is expected to be a less expensive version of HTC's flagship phone.

Phandroid reported that a press photo of the Ace was released earlier this week and was followed by a tweet from HTC which stated "more beautiful curves coming soon."

HTC's Ace device is rumored to also have a 5-inch 1080p display with a Snapdragon 801 processor. It will also be equipped with the BoomSound feature that has become pretty standard for all HTC devices.

The look of the new phone and its plastic body are similar to the HTC Desire 816 the Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer unveiled at this year's Mobile World Congress. It was slightly bigger and a polycarbonate alternative to the HTC One, according to Phandroid.

The HTC (M8) Ace joins a list of HTC One (M8) spin-off devices that include the HTC One Prime and the HTC One Mini 2.

There is no official word yet on when the Ace will be released but the Mini 2 is expected to hit European retails stores on June 30 while the Prime is rumored for a Fall release in either September or October.
