The "Harley Quinn" movie without the "skwad" will be showing more about Harley Quinn's tumultuous and abusive romance with Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime. This is after "Suicide Squad" did not exactly dive deep into the relationship between Harley Quinn and the Joker. The crew cut so much footage from the box office hit. As a result, fans were only rewarded with snippets of their mad love.

According to Inverse, Harley Quinn's relationship with her "Puddin'" is about to end. A month ago, paparazzi snapped a photo of Robbie perusing a comic book at an airport.

It is confirmed that thge 26-year-old actress is reading up on the newer stories of Harley Quinn. When she was first introduced in the comic book realm, the former psychiatrist was merely a love interest for the Joker (Jared Letho). Her story became even better, however, when Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti took the reign.

They also gave full autonomy to Harley Quinn. As a result, she ditched her abusive relationship with the Joker. She also started dating Poison Ivy, another member of the Gotham City Sirens.

Margot Robbie herself is not a fan of her character's relationship with the Joker. In an interview with The Washington Post, the actress admitted that she finds it "really frustrating" that a strong woman like Harley Quinn will fall off her feet for a man. "Fans seem to really love that about her," she stated. "that she has this complete devotion to a guy that treats her badly."

Margot Robbie will sit as executive producer to the Harley Quinn movie. That means, there is a good chance that viewers will get to see the character get rid of the Joker in the future. Hopefully, the Gotham City Sirens will help her realize that she deserves a healthy, loving, supportive relationship soon.
