Robert Pattinson is on the cover of the Hollywood Reporter, and the actor opened up about sounding manic depressive in recent interviews.

"I did some interview a while ago, and it sounds like I'm a manic-depressive about to kill myself," he said. "And I'm like, 'No I'm not.'"

Pattinson took off a year, and he is getting back into the swing of things. He will be shooting "Maps to the Stars," "The Rover" and "Queen of the Desert."

He wasn't very willing to speak about ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart, but when asked if he spoke to her, he enthusiastically replied yes. He also described himself as a "solitary guy" and generally avoided talking about his personal life.

Pattinson says he doesn't really have too many material things. That is, besides his 17 guitars.

"I buy nice guitars, and that's about my only expense," he said.

He also recently sold his 1922 Los Feliz, which he bought three years ago, for $6.27 million.

"It was too big a house," he said. "It was incredible, like Versailles. It was absolutely, completely crazy. It had this incredible garden, but you just stay in one room, anyway. I could basically live in a cell as long as I had a window."

He now lives in a place he rents in a Coldwater Canyon gated community. At first, he only had three inflatable mattresses and a chair that belonged to the previous tenants. A situation he said was "odd for a while."

One of his problems has been locating his clothes.

"I don't understand how I don't have any clothes," he said. "I've basically stolen every item of clothing that anyone's ever given me for a premiere, but in my closet there's literally about three things."

So he's kind of just your run-of-the-mill 28-year-old guy.
