When everyone is giving their attention to Ryzen, AMD is now getting ready for the second generation of its Zen-based CPUS. The Zen 2 processors that have a name of "Pinnacle Ridge" is suspected to being lined up for an early release in 2018.

According to Lisa Su, the AMD CEO, she stated the in the new product development, the company have their own things that will be added to Zen 2 and Zen 3. Su claimed that the things will be added will boost and improvised the performance of the CPU.

Digital Trend has reported that the main focus for both Zen 2 and Zen 3 is the improvement of its own IPC. The current AMD Ryzen offered about 52% Instructions per Clock boost over the past Bulldozer architecture.

As per the company says, both will achieve an improvement ranges between 5-15%. The enhancement will lead to an incremental performance with further optimization AMD and can achieve in gaming applications.

Liza Su claimed that AMD has already a team working now on the Zen 2 "Pinnacle Ridge." The company aims to further elevate and improved the product to fit the price to the current performance that's offered by Ryzen 7 lineup. Everyone might be planning to have a CPU upgrade, and it'll not be worth it having a performance of less than 20% over the current Ryzen.

Loyal users and owners of Ryzen won't be missing a great deal until Zen 3 arrives with such improvements. The reports also claimed that all of the three generations of Zen processors likely to make use of the AMD 4 Socket. The inclusion of the AMD 4 Sockets, it will have a full compatibility between the backward and forwards in the chips, Teak Town has reported.
