Owners of Microsoft's Surface devices probably had a long wait for a new firmware update and driver to roll out. Users of Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 are now hoping to solve the problem that has long plagued their devices. Microsoft claimed that the company has struggled at times, getting the machines to perform in a stable fashion.

Microsoft rolled out last 2016 a firmware update that claimed it has been solved the sleep and battery issues of the device. But still, Microsoft wanted the users of Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 feel the improvements and adjustments they've made just for them.

On Wednesday, Windows Central reported that a new firmware issued March 2017 is now available and the update is packed with some great stability and performance fixes across the board. Also, the driver update for the GeForce GTX 965M is also packed with Performance Base for the Surface Book.

Below is the look of what is new in the Surface Pro 4 and several of the key components have received new driver software version. The update is to solidify the state drive controller that promises much-improved storage performance.

The Surface UEFI ((V106.1427.768.0) improves the performance and system stability of Surface Pro 4. The Surface Display (V1.0.6.1) - it is an update for the display panel driver. The Intel Management Engine Interface (V11.6.0.1042) that improves the system stability on the startup. Fourth is Surface NVM Express Controller (V11.0.0.1) that further improves the storage performance.

Meanwhile, for the Surface Book also improved that performance and stability, there are updates that are same with the Surface Pro 4 and had some different driver update. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M (v21.21.13.7667) which improves further the system stability. The Surface USB Hub Firmware Update (v1.0.519.0) which utilizes the power of the USB hub in the device and stability.
