After seeing many of Stephen King's films, fans are still looking for more of his adventure stories come to the big screens. Now, the author's adventure series is coming to life with "The Dark Tower." The film is highly anticipated to be one of King's finest work and will surely be excited to know that the series is set to hit theaters this year. With that, the latest update includes a poster release to keep fans in motion for July.

According to IGN, the author himself, Stephen King, revealed the first photo poster for the upcoming "The Dark Tower" adaptation film. King announced it through Twitter where it was captioned "Pilgrim, there are other worlds than these. Come with us on the adventure."

"The Dark Tower" will be starring Idris Elba as the gunslinger and Matthew McConaughey as the villain. The film's plot is still undetermined but much to the non-readers' dismay, the story won't be the same as the book's.

Den of Geek said that Sony started the marketing plans for "The Dark Tower." This is after Warner Bros backed out of having to provide money for the film and Ron Howard slipping out of being the director.

Nonetheless, Nikolaj Arcel, known for "A Royal Affair," took up the shoes for the helming of the film. "The Dark Tower" is set for a February release but was pushed back to give room for the visual effects and with regards to the photo, it may be worth it.

"The Dark Tower" film is said to be much more of a sequel rather than following the plot. Also, King, himself, said that he has taken a look at the film and determined that it was a terrific work, hopefully this is true for the additional months. "The Dark Tower" is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
