Apple Company and RED, an organization that helps the worldwide eradication of AIDS by preventing the transmission of HIV from mother to their babies have been in partnership for more than 10 years. Beginning from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition up to today's selection of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, these products became bridges for the organization's success. On March 21, another (PRODUCT) RED has been unveiled and its vibrant color shouts out to the world how AIDS needs all the global awareness it needs to be fully addressed.

In a recent announcement from Apple Newsroom, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus will have its special edition product line featuring a red matte aluminum finish. The (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition is available for orders online and on physical stores on March 24, and with every unit sold, part of it goes to the Global Fund. These efforts are to support the organization's goal to make an AIDS-free generation by preventing maternal transmission of HIV through birth.

This process called ARV medication is currently ongoing at the south Saharan part of Africa has been saving lives of newborns from HIV-infected mothers. All funds generated by RED goes to their grants and are used for testing, counseling, treatment and prevention programs with a specific focus on eliminating transmission of the virus from moms to their babies. Since Apple is RED's largest corporate donor, the iPhone (PRODUCT) RED selection has contributed more than $130 million to the Global Fund as per reports from CNN.
