Wherever point guard Derrick Rose goes in free agency this summer, he has made it clear early on that his decision will be coming down to winning over money. The New York Knicks point guard and former League MVP told the media about it on Wednesday.

According to NBA. Derrick  Rose told reporters before their game in Utah that wherever he might go next season, he is "not even thinking about money." Rose claims that he's got more than enough money saved that if he'd stop playing basketball now, he will still be all right.

Derrick  Rose also made it clear that he wants to win, along with being happy and feeling at peace with himself wherever he will be going. He also made it clear that in terms of the negotiating table, he is not going to negotiate with people and teams where money is the No. 1 thing that he will be asking for, along with saying, again, that he wants to win.

If winning is going to be the main priority for Derrick  Rose, it could potentially complicate things for him in New York. According to The New York Post, Rose has seen his name mentioned repeatedly in potential trade rumors leading up to last month's trade deadline, and the severe uncertainty surrounding the Knicks' future right now could make for an interesting free agency this summer.

But Derrick Rose has also made it clear that he is keeping all of his options open. "This summer is going to be the first time I'll be a free agent. I don't know how that process goes," Rose added.

Derrick Rose then said that right after the season, he, along with his my agent and family will be talking about his next moves. He also assured that he truly wants to be in New York if given the chance, but he has to talk it over with everyone that is important to him.
