While the production of FX's "Sons of Anarchy" season seven has officially begun just a few days ago, it has been revealed that a smart and edgy new sheriff will be joining the rebellious biker gang to maintain peace in the fictional town of Charming.

"We're trying to avoid the new sheriff in town device because we're kinda used to it," creator Kurt Sutter previously said in one of his video updates. However, the new sheriff role seems to conflict with what he said before as he changed his mind earlier this year claiming that several new characters would be introduced to the popular show, including new law enforcement officials.

In fact, "SOA" has cast Annabeth Gish from the network's detective drama "The Bridge." The brunette actress is set to play the role of Althea Jarry and is set to get very involved in the murder case, ultimately going after Katey Sagal's character.

In season six, SAMCRO matriarch Gemma Teller Morrow brutally killed her daughter-in-law Tara Knowles-Teller with a carving fork. In the upcoming season of the hit outlaw motorcycle club series, Althea Jarry will be teaming up with Jackson "Jax" Teller to hunt for his wife's killer and solve the murder mystery of Tara. Also, great chemistry between Jax and Althea is much expected.

With her years of experience in Stockton's Organized Crime Unit, Althea will help pursue the murders that have been occurring in Charming, specifically killings of former Sheriff Eli Roosevelt and Tara. While she is new in town, the sheriff quickly realizes that she will have to work with SAMCRO to "keep the peace," even if that means playing by their rules.

In addition, although the biker drama's showrunner Sutter has been quite secretive about the forthcoming new season, he hinted that the last season will be focused on how Jax will follow his "moral compass."

The highly anticipated "Sons of Anarchy" season seven will return in September on FX. Will Althea Jarry be able to solve Tara's murder and put Gemma behind bars?
